Come explore the world of strategy board games (including Chess). This screen-free after-school program focuses entirely on in-person games that develop skills such as problem-solving, critical thinking, math, logic, planning, communication and negotiation.

About the event
Come explore the power of strategic thinking through fun, engaging, hands-on and strategy-based board-games such as Chess, Mastermind, Blokus, Chinese Checkers, Match Madness, Codenames and many more. Enroll your child in this screen-free class that encourages critical thinking and problem-solving. In this adventure, students will learn the importance of planning, making thoughtful choices and understanding the reasons behind their decisions while playing games and having fun. The program will focus on teaching kids new board-games, strategic foundations, skill development and game strategy improvement. When playing chess, the focus will be on learning piece functions, openings, endgame tactics, variations and puzzles (depending on the skill level).
