About the event
Our STEM Excursions Pro - D Day Camp features a day of fun, educational, STEM-based field trip to some of the most scientific, innovative and inspirational locations for young kids. Students get a behind-the-scenes look at operational environments, scientific labs, technological marvels and meet experienced professionals in STEM.
Open to: Grade 3 and above
Curriculum/Agenda:
The day will be spent at the University of British Columbia (UBC) with a focus on the following:
Explore Earth's 4.5 billion year history
Gemstone and Mineral gallery
Dinosaur bones
Marine Biology
Earthquake Prevention and STEM Games
Rocks and Fossils
Scavenger Hunts
The different climates on earth
Natural Disasters and their effects
Pollution and Climate Change
Biodiversity
Kids need to bring:
Packed, peanut-free lunch
2 peanut-free snacks
Water bottle
Outdoor wear (jacket, cap, etc.)
Comfortable shoes for outdoor play
